DescriptionThe whole story▼
The EV2 racing compound is the choice in the AGPA96 range for riders who want maximum competition focus from a non-ceramic pad. Accossato lists the AGPA96 for the front of the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3 and calls EV2 a top racing compound. It suits owners who take their electric DS onto a closed track, with suitable tyres, and push it through session after session, braking late and hard into slow turns.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Zero DS, model year 2024
- Listed for the DS ZF17.3
- AGPA96 shape in the EV2 racing compound, reference AGPA96EV2
- A top racing compound, per Accossato
- For late, repeated stops on a closed track
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- No German ABE held; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's EV2 material is intended for racing, and the manufacturer describes it as a top racing compound. In the AGPA96 for the 2024 DS it offers a front pad that is at home in the heat of repeated hard stops. Like other Accossato pads it is designed to limit fade and wear slowly. The shape is also available in OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC. Two pads come in each box.
Tight Tracks and Late Stops
Short circuits and kart tracks suit a torquey electric bike: lots of slow corners, short straights and many hard stops per lap. The front brake gets hot quickly and stays hot. A racing material is designed for exactly that load. Tyres remain the limiting factor, so before pushing the brakes, fit rubber suited to tarmac and check pressures. For road use or a gentle first track outing, the EV1 version is the better match.
Between Sessions
Watch pad wear closely, look for cracks or discoloration on the disc and keep the fluid fresh. After changing pads, pump the lever until firm before leaving the pits and bed the new pads in gradually.
Fitment and Compatibility
Only one model year appears for this shape: the 2024 DS, entered in Accossato's list with the ZF17.3 battery. Older bikes from 2015 to 2017 need the AGPA92, and nothing is catalogued in our data for the seasons in between. If you run the bike on a closed track with the standard caliper, the pad fits as listed; a matching rear pad for the same year is the AGPA29. One box holds enough for one caliper.
Road Approval
No German ABE or test report is on file for this pad. It is intended for racing and use on closed tracks.
Scope of Delivery
Two EV2 front pads in one box, the set for one Zero DS caliper.
