Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound, and it makes AGPA72 in that version for the front of the Triumph Tiger 800 XC, 2011 to 2017. It is a specialised choice for this bike. The rider who fits it has usually built the XC into something for a circuit, a club event or a timed session, and wants a front pad that is made for repeated, heavy stops from speed. For road use, this is not the natural option in the range, and the text below explains why.

Construction and Material Quality
EV2 is the most focused compound Accossato offers for AGPA72. The company positions it as a racing mix, which means its behaviour is tuned for a brake that is used hard, lap after lap. Accossato's general promises apply here as well: slow wear, heat kept under control to limit fade, and powerful stopping. How that feels on your bike depends on setup, discs and fluid, so plan time to learn it.
Using a Racing Pad on the XC
A race compound needs the brakes to be worked properly. On a circuit that happens on every lap: hard application at the end of the straight, release, turn in, repeat. In qualifying you want the same bite on the last lap as on the first, and that is where EV2 is intended to shine. On a cold public road the story changes, because a racing pad is not designed for occasional light stops. That is why we suggest EV2 only for a Tiger 800 XC that actually goes racing, and EV1 for riders who mix road use with the odd track day. In the paddock, check pad material after each session and keep an eye on the fluid colour.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Accossato listing gives AGPA72 for the Tiger 800 XC from 2011 to 2017 and names the ABS model of 2012 to 2014. A full front set needs two boxes because the XC uses two front calipers. Change both sides at once, clean the pistons before retracting them, pump the lever until it is hard and bed the pads in during the first session with progressively harder stops.

We cannot supply ABE or German test paperwork for AGPA72EV2; the pad is sold for competition purposes only.
