It is intended for a Thruxton that has been prepared by its owner for competition, where the brake is pushed hard at every corner and a stable feel through qualifying and the race is essential. This EV2 racing compound is not designed for everyday road riding.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 racing one of its leading competition compounds. It is designed for the demands of a race weekend, with sustained high loads on the brake. In line with Accossato's general approach, the pad is meant to keep heat in check to limit fade and to wear predictably over a meeting.
Preparing for Qualifying
On race day the front brake of a Thruxton 900 decides where you can overtake. Before practice, fit fresh pads, bleed the system with fresh fluid and bed the pads in during the warm-up lap. After each session, check the pads for thickness and even wear and look for any change in lever travel. In qualifying, a compound that keeps its bite session after session lets you focus on the braking marker rather than on the brake itself. On the grid, remember that the pads will be cooler than at the end of a session, so the first stop of the race deserves a little care before full pressure is used.
Mechanics in the Paddock
Clean the pistons before pushing them back, keep spare pads in the kit and note the lever position after each run.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's listing includes AGPA72 for the front brake of the Thruxton 900 in 2004 and 2005 and for the 2015 Thruxton 900 ACE; other years are not covered. The rear pad for these years is AGPA76. One box equips one caliper; check how many calipers are fitted to your Thruxton 900 before ordering.
Road Approval
AGPA72EV2 has no German ABE and no test mark in our records. It is intended for racing.
