DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some owners of early Triumph Street Twins take them to track days run in a timed format, where every lap is recorded and riders compare their progress over the day. The front brake then has to deliver consistent performance lap after lap. Accossato lists the AGPA72 front pad in EV2 racing compound for the Street Twin from 2016 to 2021, designed for that kind of repeated, high-temperature use.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Triumph Street Twin, 2016 to 2021
- AGPA72 plate with EV2 racing compound (AGPA72EV2)
- For timed track days and competition
- Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound
- One box fits the single front caliper
- OR, ST and EV1 share the plate
- No German ABE; supplied for racing use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV2 as a top racing compound. On the AGPA72 plate for the early Street Twin it provides a circuit-focused front brake. Founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, Accossato aims for durability, fade resistance and strong stopping across its pads.
Timed Laps and Consistency
When every lap is timed, small differences in braking make a measurable difference. A consistent pad allows the rider to brake at the same point each lap and refine technique gradually. Warm the brakes on the out lap, then build braking effort. Review lap times alongside notes on braking points to see where improvements come from, and resist the urge to change several things at once.
Between Sessions
Check pad thickness and disc condition between sessions. Let the brakes cool before parking, and avoid holding the lever with a hot disc. Keep fresh fluid and spare pads handy. After any pad change, pump the lever until firm and complete a gentle lap before pushing. A single-disc bike puts all the front heat into one place, so keeping an eye on lever travel through the day is especially worthwhile.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA72 at the front of the Street 900 Twin for 2016 to 2021. The AGPA112 is also listed from 2019, so check the pads fitted to a 2019 to 2021 bike. One box fits the single front caliper; the rear pad is AGPA76 for 2016 to 2025.
Road Approval
We hold no test report or German ABE for EV2. These pads are sold for racing use.
