DescriptionThe whole story▼
Classic racing has a long history, and some Bonneville owners enjoy taking their bikes onto a circuit where lap times count. For the Triumph Bonneville from 2001 to 2011, 2015 and 2017 to 2018, Accossato also offers the AGPA72 front pad in EV2 racing, its top competition compound. It is designed for track events with repeated hard stops at high temperature, not for relaxed everyday riding.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV2 as a top racing compound, designed to deliver high stopping power at competition temperatures while controlling heat to prevent fade. The company also claims long life for its pads. On the AGPA72 plate, EV2 is the most track-focused option.
The Bonneville on Track
A Bonneville prepared for track use faces a completely different workload from a road bike. Each lap brings several hard stops from speed, and the front disc gets very hot. A racing compound like EV2 is designed for that: its bite is intended to remain strong and consistent at high temperature, so the rider can brake at the same markers lap after lap. For everyday road riding, the OR and ST versions of this plate are more appropriate, and EV1 is the in-between option for road riders who visit a track occasionally.
Preparing a Classic for the Circuit
Before a track outing, bleed the front brake with fresh fluid, check the disc for run-out and wear, and bed the EV2 pads in during the first practice session with steadily increasing pressure. A classic twin that is well prepared feels calm under hard braking, and the rider can focus on lines rather than on the lever.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's AGPA72 listing names the Bonneville 800 and 800 America, the Bonneville 900 up to 2011, both 2015 specials (Newchurch and Spirit) and the Street Cup of 2017 to 2018. Model years 2012 to 2014 and 2016 do not appear. Every box is a set for one caliper. Racers who also need rear pads will find AGPA76 in the same catalogue.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or approval documents for AGPA72EV2. It is sold for racing use only.
