DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Suzuki SV650 is a staple of twin-cylinder club racing, and the 2019 to 2024 generation is increasingly seen on the grid alongside older examples. Once the lights go out, the front brake decides a large part of every overtake. For a race-prepared SV650 of this generation Accossato offers the AGPA75 front pad in the EV2 racing compound, SKU AGPA75EV2. It is aimed at racers who brake at the last possible moment into every corner, from free practice to the last lap of the final race.
Key Features
- AGPA75 front pad for the Suzuki SV650, 2019 to 2024
- EV2 racing compound, SKU AGPA75EV2
- Accossato calls it a top racing compound
- For late, heavy stops in twin-cylinder classes
- Designed to repeat its response lap after lap
- For qualifying and race sessions
- OR, ST and EV1 fit the same caliper
- No ABE on file; competition use only
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato names EV2 racing among its top compounds for competition. What a racer wants from it is repeatability: the same stopping distance at the hairpin on lap one and on lap fifteen. The maker also cites slow wear and controlled heat against fade, which help a set of pads last through a busy race weekend.
Racing in a Twins Class
In twin-cylinder classes, the bikes are closely matched and most passes happen on the brakes. A rider who can brake a few metres later and still hit the apex has an advantage. On a racing SV650, the front brake is used at the limit into every slow corner, and EV2 is designed to deliver that performance consistently.
Riders coming from trackdays will notice that EV2 is a clear step beyond the street compounds; it belongs on a dedicated race bike.
Race Weekend Routine
Fit new pads before the weekend and bed them in during the first practice session. Check the pads and fluid after every session, bleed the brakes if the lever travel changes and always replace the pads on both calipers together.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato matches AGPA75 with the front brake of the SV 650 built from 2019 to 2024. Because the SV650 runs twin front calipers, a race bike needs two boxes, and a sensible team keeps a third pair ready. The newer SV650's rear brake uses Accossato's AGPP185.
Road Approval
We are not aware of any ABE or German test certificate for AGPA75EV2; it is sold for racing only.
