DescriptionThe whole story▼
Naked-bike racing classes at club level have welcomed the new generation of middleweight twins, and the Suzuki GSX-8S turns up on more and more grids. AGPA38 in the EV2 racing mixture is Accossato's front pad for the GSX-8S from 2023 to 2026. It is meant for riders who strip their bike for competition and need a front brake that holds up through a full weekend of practice, qualifying and racing.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Suzuki GSX-8S, 2023 to 2026
- EV2 racing compound, SKU AGPA38EV2
- A top racing compound, says Accossato
- For naked-bike club racing
- Built for a full race weekend
- Rear pad listed: AGPP88
- Accossato is located in Villastellone near Turin
- No ABE held; competition only
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato, which today works from Villastellone near Turin, gives EV2 a simple label: a top racing compound. Nothing about it is aimed at road use. The general Accossato claims of moderate wear, heat kept in bounds and strong stopping force also apply.
Stripping a GSX-8S for the Grid
Preparing a GSX-8S for club racing follows a familiar pattern: lights, mirrors and number plate off, fluids changed to what the rules allow, safety wire on the drain plugs and a close look at the brakes. Fresh fluid, a careful bleed and new EV2 pads on both front calipers are a sound starting point. Bed the pads in during the first session, then start moving the braking markers. On a naked bike, the rider sits up into the wind under braking, which helps slow the bike but pushes the body backwards, so strong knees on the tank and relaxed arms make the lever easier to control.
Between sessions, check pad thickness, look for cracks or glazing and note any change in lever travel. Keep a second set in the pit box, since a tight circuit can use up pads faster than expected, and write down how many laps each set lasted.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA38 is listed for the GSX-8S 800 from 2023 to 2026. The GSX-8S has two front calipers, so two boxes are needed. The rear pad is AGPP88. The front plate is also produced as Sintered, EV1 and ZXC.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval papers for AGPA38EV2. It is supplied for racing.
