DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adventure bikes are not typical race machines, but some Suzuki DL800 V-Strom owners enter endurance or twin-cylinder events at club level. For them, Accossato offers AGPA72 in the EV2 racing mixture, the front pad for the DL800 V-Strom from 2023 to 2024. It is a competition compound for race weekends, qualifying and repeated heavy stops from high speed.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato, today located in Villastellone near Turin, calls EV2 a top racing compound. That is all the maker says about it, and it places the pad clearly on the racing side of the range. General claims for Accossato pads include slow wear, controlled heat and high stopping power.
Endurance Racing on a V-Strom 800
In an endurance race, the front brake of a DL800 V-Strom is used hundreds of times without a break. The team needs to know how long a set of pads lasts and plan pad changes around fuel stops. EV2 is chosen for its consistency over long stints. Before the race, fit new pads and bed them in during practice. At each pit stop, a quick look through the caliper shows how much material is left. After the race, clean the pistons and check the discs for cracks or uneven wear. A tall adventure bike pitches forward more than a sports bike under hard stops, so riders tend to brake a touch earlier and more progressively. Fresh brake fluid before the event and a firm lever at the start of every stint are part of the same routine, and the team should keep a spare set of pads ready in the pit box in case wear is faster than expected.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA72 is Accossato's front pad for the DL 800 V-Strom from 2023 to 2024. Each front caliper needs its own box, so check the number of calipers on your bike. The rear pad is AGPP88. The same front plate is also offered as Organic, Sintered and EV1.
Road Approval
No ABE or German approval for AGPA72EV2 is available to us. The pads are meant for racing.
