DescriptionThe whole story▼
Classic-bike race grids and one-make twin series have made the Moto Guzzi V7 a familiar sight in the paddock. If your V7 II Stone from 2015 or 2016 has been turned into a race bike, Accossato's EV2 racing compound is one of the pads to consider for the front caliper. It is made for timed sessions and races, where the rider brakes at the limit every lap.
Key Features
- EV2 racing front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Stone, 2015 to 2016
- Accossato calls EV2 one of its leading race compounds
- Suited to timed practice, qualifying and race distance
- Designed to keep fade in check under repeated heavy stops
- Wears slowly for its category
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 also listed
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents EV2 as a top compound for racing. The design brief is a pad that works at full effect lap after lap, without the lever going long or the response drifting as the session goes on. Limited heating and slow wear are part of that goal, so the same set can see out a weekend of hard running.
Committing Late on a Light Twin
A race-prepared V7 II Stone does not carry much speed compared with a modern superbike, so lap time comes from corner speed and precise braking. The EV2 compound suits a rider who commits to a braking marker and holds the pressure right up to the apex. Because the pad works most effectively with heat in it, use the warm-up lap to bring it up to temperature, with a few firm stops rather than gentle dabs. In the paddock, check lever travel after every session and keep a spare set in the toolbox for the race.
Fitment and Compatibility
These pads fit the front caliper of the Moto Guzzi V7 II Stone from 2015 to 2016, which our garage lists as V7 II Stone ABS 750. Accossato's catalogue lists the V7 II 750 Stone across a wider span of years, but we list this product for 2015 to 2016. One caliper per box; check how many front calipers your bike carries. The same pad is also available as OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC. At the rear, Accossato lists AGPA28, and disc DKS032 is listed for this bike.
Road Approval
We do not hold a German ABE or test certificate for these pads. They are designed and sold for motorsport and competition.
