DescriptionThe whole story▼
A V7 II Special prepared for a classic twin-cylinder race series lives a very different life from a showroom bike. Qualifying laps, hard stops at the end of the straight, repeated heat cycles every session: that is the world of the EV2 racing compound. Accossato builds this front pad for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Special from 2015 to 2016, for riders who line up on a grid rather than at the traffic lights.
Key Features
- EV2 racing front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Special, 2015 to 2016
- Described by Accossato as a top racing compound
- Made for qualifying, timed sessions and race starts
- Holds up under repeated hard stops lap after lap
- Heat is limited to keep fade under control
- Supplied as two pads for one caliper
- Rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 also available
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 one of its leading racing compounds. It is designed for sustained, heavy use on the track, where the brake is loaded at every corner entry and never quite cools down between laps. The aim is a stable response through a whole session and pads that do not wear away in a single weekend.
Race Weekend Routine
On a race weekend the brakes of a V7 II Special get checked more often than the tyre pressures. Before first practice, inspect the disc and the remaining pad thickness, bleed the system if the fluid is old and make sure the pistons move freely. After each session, look at the pad edges and listen for any change in lever travel. The EV2 compound rewards riders who brake in a straight line, hard and late, then release smoothly into the turn. Between qualifying and the race, keep the discs free of chain lube and fingerprints, because contamination hurts a race pad more than any other.
Fitment and Compatibility
Suitable for the front of the Moto Guzzi V7 II Special from 2015 to 2016 (Accossato: V7 II 750 Special), including the V7 II Special ABS 750 in our garage. Each box covers one caliper; check how many front calipers your bike has. Other versions of this pad: OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC. For the rear brake Accossato lists pad AGPA28, and disc DKS032 is listed for this model.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval paperwork for these pads. They are intended for circuit racing and other competition use.
Scope of Delivery
You receive two brake pads in the EV2 compound in one box, which is a set for one caliper.
