DescriptionThe whole story▼
For a KTM 690 Duke R from 2014 to 2017 that has become a dedicated race bike, Accossato offers this front pad in EV2 racing. Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound. It is meant for riders entering club championships, single-cylinder series or endurance events with the Duke R, where the front brake must hold up through practice, qualifying and several races in a weekend. If your Duke R wears a transponder and race numbers, EV2 is the compound designed around your kind of riding.
Key Features
- EV2 racing compound for the KTM 690 Duke R front
- Fits the 690 Duke R from 2014 to 2017
- Accossato's top racing compound
- Made for qualifying laps and hard late braking
- Built to hold up through repeated race sessions
- One box for the single front caliper
- Pad also offered as ST, EV1 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato places EV2 at the top of its racing range. As with all its pads, the company aims for strong stopping power, controlled temperatures and slow wear. On the Duke R the friction layer is bonded to a steel backing made for the front caliper, so the pad stays square under the high loads of racing.
Qualifying and Race Starts
A qualifying lap asks for the latest possible braking into every corner, and a race start sends a crowd of bikes into turn one with cold tyres and hot tempers. On a racing Duke R, the front pad has to deliver the same bite in both situations. EV2 is made for that. EV1 suits riders at the amateur track-day stage, and ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing alternative.
Between Sessions
Check pad wear in the pit box, look for glazing or uneven wear, and keep the disc free of oil and tyre warmer residue.
Fitment and Compatibility
Suitable for the front caliper of the KTM 690 Duke R from 2014 to 2017, catalogued by Accossato as DUKE 690 R (2014-2017). Earlier Duke R bikes are not covered by this front pad. One box does the single front caliper. The matching rear pad from Accossato is AGPP91, listed for the Duke R from 2010 to 2017.
Road Approval
We do not have a German ABE or test certificate for this pad, and it is intended strictly for racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two EV2 racing front pads for the KTM 690 Duke R, one set for the front caliper.
