DescriptionThe whole story▼
A supermoto race weekend is decided under braking: the rider who stops latest into the first hairpin usually leads. For the KTM 450 SMR from 2013 to 2025, Accossato lists its AGPA106 front pad in the EV2 racing compound, which the company calls a top racing compound. It is aimed at racers chasing lap times in national and regional championships, riders who fight for grid positions in qualifying and anyone for whom the front brake is the key to a fast lap.
Key Features
- AGPA106 front pads for the KTM 450 SMR, 2013 to 2025
- EV2 compound, SKU AGPA106EV2
- Accossato describes it as a top racing compound
- For qualifying, race starts and late braking
- Intended for high braking loads on race weekends
- Same plate also sold as ST, EV1 and ZXC
- No German ABE; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's short description of EV2 is a top racing compound. On a 450 SMR raced hard, the front pad has to cope with repeated heavy stops through qualifying and several races. The company also emphasises low wear, limited fading and strong stopping power across its range. The lining is fitted to the AGPA106 plate.
Qualifying and Race Day
In qualifying, one lap matters, and the rider pushes the braking points further each time. In the race, the first lap is crowded and every overtake happens under braking. Through all of this, the front pad sees its highest loads. A racing compound is designed for that intensity. Riders using EV2 should expect a firm, powerful bite once the pads are at temperature and should warm them up with a few hard stops on the out lap.
Between sessions, check the lining and look at the disc surface. Bleed the brakes before a race weekend so the fluid is fresh, and make sure the pistons move freely. Fit new pads with enough time left to bed them in before qualifying.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA106 for the front of the SX 450 SMR from 2013 to 2025. The rear pad for this machine is AGPP80, listed from 2004, and the brand also offers discs DK018 and DK259 for it. The 450 SMR uses one front caliper, so one box is enough. Compare the pads before fitting.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German test mark for AGPA106EV2. It is intended solely for racing.
