DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 R, built from 2015 to 2026, is a supercharged machine made purely for closed courses, and it is the natural home for Accossato's AGPA106 front pad in the EV2 racing mixture. The same plate also fits the H2, H2 Carbon and the SX SE and SE+ versions, but this racing compound is meant for bikes used on a circuit, where braking from extreme speed is a lap-by-lap routine.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA106 for the Kawasaki ZX1000 Ninja H2 family, 2015 to 2026
- EV2 racing mixture, SKU AGPA106EV2
- Accossato names it a top racing compound
- Designed for repeated stops from very high speed
- Natural match for the track-only H2 R
- For circuit sessions, not for the road
- ST, EV1 and ZXC also available on this plate
- No ABE on file; for track use only
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato ranks EV2 among its leading racing compounds. On an H2 R, the front brake must bring the bike down from very high speeds at the end of every straight, lap after lap. EV2 is the compound Accossato designs for that kind of load. The company also emphasises slow wear, limited heat against fade and strong braking for its pads.
Running an H2 R
The H2 R is used at private track sessions, closed-course events and speed trials. Its performance means that the braking zones come very quickly and demand full concentration. Owners usually work with a support team or a specialist workshop to prepare the bike. Fresh racing fluid, checked discs and the right pad compound are part of that preparation. EV2 gives the team a racing option designed for heavy use.
After every session, inspect the pads, check the fluid level and look at the discs for signs of overheating, such as blue discolouration.
Cooling Down
After a fast session, ride a slow cool-down lap and avoid holding the brake on at a standstill with hot discs. This helps prevent uneven deposits on the disc surface.
Fitment and Compatibility
In Accossato's list, AGPA106 sits on the front of five Ninja H2 variants: the H2 (2015 to 2021), the Carbon (2017 to 2020), the track-only H2 R (2015 to 2026), and the SX SE and SE+ from 2018. Only the base SX differs, with AGPA109. For the back wheel, AGPA42 or AGPA76 apply depending on the version. Budget two boxes, as each of the two front calipers takes one.
Road Approval
No ABE or German approval certificate for AGPA106EV2 is available to us. It is intended for racing.
Scope of Delivery
Two EV2 racing pads for one front caliper.
