DescriptionThe whole story▼
Its cowl and riding position already make the Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe look like a racer, and in retro and classic-style race series some of them are exactly that. For a Cafe prepared for the grid, Accossato offers the AGPA109 front pad in its EV2 racing compound, listed for the Cafe from 2018 to 2021. EV2 racing is made for weekends of timed practice, qualifying and races, where the front brake has to bite hard and consistently every lap.
Key Features
- EV2 racing compound for the front brake
- Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe, 2018 to 2021
- Made for qualifying and race use
- Holds its response under repeated heavy stops
- Heat build-up kept down to limit fade
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- Also sold as ST, EV1 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
EV2 racing is what Accossato calls a top racing compound, which leaves no doubt about its role. It is made for bikes whose front brake is worked to the limit in every outing. The maker, which counts an enduro world title from 1985 among its achievements, designs its pads to wear slowly, last long and keep temperatures in check, so the lever stays consistent to the end of a race on a heavy four-cylinder like the Cafe.
Qualifying in Café Racer Trim
Qualifying is where a rider tries to put everything together for one lap, and late, confident braking is a big part of that. On a Z900RS Cafe, which carries a fair amount of weight, the front pads need to deliver strong bite without fading. EV2 racing is built for that. Use the first practice to bed in new pads, set markers in the next session and push them later in qualifying. Between sessions, check the pads for even wear, look at the discs and bleed the system if the lever comes back further than it did in the morning.
Fitment and Compatibility
These pads are listed for the front of the Z 900 RS CAFE (2018-2021) in Accossato's catalogue. The Cafe has two front calipers, so two boxes are needed per change. The AGPP88 is Accossato's listed rear pad for the bike, and the DK236 is its listed disc. The AGPA109 is also offered as ST, EV1 and ZXC.
Road Approval
Without an ABE or test mark in our files, we sell these pads for racing and competition use.
