DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Kawasaki Z900 prepared for club racing or a naked-bike championship needs front pads made for the job. Accossato offers its AGPA38 in the EV2 racing compound for the Z900 from 2017 to 2024, including the Z900 Performance of 2022 and 2023. EV2 racing belongs on a race weekend: it is designed for hard, repeated stops in timed practice, qualifying and races, where the lever should give the same answer on the last lap as on the first.
Key Features
- EV2 racing compound for the front calipers
- Kawasaki Z900 2017-2024, incl. Z900 Performance
- Made for qualifying and race use
- Steady response through repeated heavy stops
- Restrained heat build-up to limit fade
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- Also offered in ST, EV1 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 racing a top racing compound. It is meant for bikes whose brakes are pushed to the limit in every session. The maker, with an enduro world title from 1985 in its history, designs its pads for low wear, long life and limited heating, which helps a heavy four-cylinder like the Z900 keep a consistent front brake over a full race distance.
Racing a Big Naked
The Z900 carries more mass than a supersport machine, so every stop at the end of a straight asks a lot of the front pads. Riders racing one in naked-bike classes need a compound that stays consistent under that load. Use the first session to bed in fresh EV2 racing pads and set markers, then move them deeper as confidence grows in qualifying. Between races, check pad wear, clean the discs if needed and bleed the brakes if the lever travel has grown. A spare set in the pit box means a quick change if wear is higher than expected.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this pad for the front of the Z900 under Z 900 (2017-2024) and Z 900 PERFORMANCE (2022-2023). Two front calipers mean two boxes. The AGPP185 is listed for the rear and the DK236 as the disc. Accossato also lists the AGPA77 for 2024 to 2026 bikes, so compare pads if yours is a late model. The AGPA38 also exists as ST, EV1 and ZXC.
Road Approval
Our documents include no ABE or test mark for these pads, and we therefore supply them for racing and competition use.
