DescriptionThe whole story▼
Bagger racing has grown from a curiosity into a proper paddock, and the Indian Pursuit of 2022 to 2025 shares its platform with machines that line up on a grid. For that world Accossato makes this front pad in EV2 racing, which the Turin company calls a top-level racing compound. It is meant for timed sessions, qualifying laps and hard stops at the end of a straight, not for a relaxed tour to the coast.
Key Features
- EV2 racing compound, Accossato's top race mixture
- Front pads for the Indian Pursuit, 2022 to 2025
- Made for qualifying, race starts and repeated late stops
- Accossato claims low wear and resistance to fade
- Pair for one caliper in each box
- Rear pad AGPA81 available for the same bike
- Competition use only in Germany
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato places EV2 at the top of its racing range. The company does not publish friction values or ingredients, so we will not invent any; what it does say is that the compound is built for racing, wears slowly and keeps fade in check because heat is contained. On a heavy bagger at pace, that last point decides whether the lever still feels the same on the final lap as on the first.
Race Weekend on a Bagger
A race weekend on a Pursuit-based machine is a long series of heavy stops from high speed into first- and second-gear corners. EV2 is meant for exactly that load: free practice to learn the marker boards, qualifying where you brake a few metres later each lap, then the race itself. Between sessions, check the pad thickness and look at the disc surface, because a bagger eats pads faster than a sports bike. If you split your time between road and track, EV1 is the calmer option; ZXC is the ceramic alternative for racing.
Preparing the Pursuit for the Track
Bed new EV2 pads in during the first outing with progressively harder stops rather than straight into a qualifying lap. Keep the discs free of oil and chain lube, and check the brake fluid level after a hot session. Pursuit owners who travel to events should carry a spare set in the van.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato pad AGPA177 is listed for the front of the Indian Pursuit from 2022 to 2025, with Dark Horse and Limited named in the application list. There are two front calipers on the Pursuit, so plan on two boxes. The matching rear pad is AGPA81. When fitting, push the pistons back only after cleaning them, and pump the lever until the pedal and lever pressure return before rolling off the stand.
Road Approval
There are no approval documents for these racing pads on our side, and in Germany they are intended for the circuit and for competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two EV2 racing pads, one caliper's worth, supplied without extra hardware.
