Some Honda CB 1000 R machines built between 2008 and 2016 no longer see the road at all. They race in naked-bike classes and club championships, with numbers on the flyscreen. For them, Accossato offers the AGPA108 front pad in the EV2 racing compound. Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound. It is aimed at riders who spend race weekends in the paddock, fight for positions in qualifying and brake at the latest possible point into the first corner.

Construction and Material Quality
EV2 is the compound Accossato develops for competition. The company describes it simply as a top-level racing mix. Its place is on the circuit, where the brakes work at their limit lap after lap. The pads are cut to the same outline as the AGPA108 road versions, so the change to race pads on the CB 1000 R is a swap in the original calipers.
Race Weekend with a Naked Bike
A race weekend asks different things of the front brake than any road ride. In free practice the rider finds the braking points, in qualifying moves them later, and in the race holds them for the full distance while other bikes close in. On a heavy naked bike like the CB 1000 R the forces at each hard stop are considerable. A racing compound is designed for exactly this kind of use: repeated, heavy stops at high temperature.
Between sessions, check pad thickness and fluid level, and bleed the brakes before each event. Mark your braking points in practice and use them as reference throughout the weekend.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato ties the AGPA108 outline to the CB 1000 R without ABS for the years 2008 to 2016, whereas the ABS variant carries AGPA87 in its list. Our listing is filed under the CB 1000 R RA, so compare the outline with your old pads. The front uses two calipers, one per disc, so a full set takes two boxes. For the rear, AGPP55 is available.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval for AGPA108EV2. It is intended solely for racing and competition, which is also where the compound belongs.
