DescriptionThe whole story▼

Time trials fill more paddocks than grids do. One rider on the track, a transponder on the fork leg, and an afternoon spent trying to take a tenth out of the same sequence of corners. Very little punishes a fading front brake quite as plainly, because the only thing that ought to vary between attempts is the rider. Accossato lists the AGPA96 front pad in the EV2 racing material, article AGPA96EV2, for the CFMOTO NK 800 built from 2024 to 2026, and puts that mixture at the racing end of its pad programme.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the CFMOTO NK 800, 2024 to 2026
  • AGPA96EV2: the AGPA96 outline carrying the EV2 racing material
  • Accossato counts this mixture among its racing compounds
  • One caliper's set to a box, two pads
  • Also available on this outline in OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC
  • The AGPA29 serves the rear wheel across the same seasons
  • Change pads in pairs, and one axle at a time
  • No German ABE on file, so a competition part

Construction and Material Quality

What the factory says about EV2 is brief: a racing compound. The rest is inference a racer can make safely enough. A material selected for competition has to keep its answer when the same corner arrives at the same speed twenty times over with no interval worth mentioning, and it has to manage that on a plate common to every AGPA96 in the programme. Two boxes off the same shelf can hold identical steel and behave nothing alike, so the suffix on the article number carries more information than the photograph does.

A Lap Against the Clock

A timed run is an exercise in repetition. The rider wants the same entry, the same pressure at the lever and the same release every time, so that a movement on the stopwatch means a change in what they did rather than in what the equipment did. The front brake of an NK 800 is the part most likely to spoil that, because it alters as it heats.

What a rider is really looking for, then, is a lever that comes up in the same place on the ninth attempt as on the second. Around that sits some dull and necessary housekeeping: look at what is left of the material between runs, keep an eye on the level in the reservoir, and give a new set a handful of firm applications before the first timed lap rather than learning their character in the middle of one.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the NK 800 the AGPA96 is listed across 2024, 2025 and 2026. The 2024 season is shared with a second front article, the AGPA106, so bikes from that year need the caliper checked rather than assumed; from 2025 onwards the AGPA96 stands alone in the range. The rear wheel is covered by the AGPA29 over the same three seasons and has a single caliper to feed. At the front a box equips one caliper, so order according to what your own wheel carries.

Road Approval

Our files hold neither an ABE nor any German test certificate for the AGPA96EV2. It is therefore listed as a part for racing and closed-circuit riding.

Scope of Delivery

A box with two AGPA96 pads in the EV2 racing material, the pair a caliper takes.
