That is where an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory does its heaviest work: maximum speed, then a stop so hard that the rear wheel goes light and the rider is holding on with the whole upper body. Accossato's EV2 racing compound in the AGPA177 pad is made for that moment, and it is catalogued for the front wheel of the Factory of 2015 and 2016.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own description of this compound stops at calling it a racing material, which is more useful than a page of adjectives. What lies behind the name is a friction layer made for a duty cycle no road ride produces, where the hardest application of the lap returns every ninety seconds and the pads never fully cool. The company's stated aims for its pads, long life and limited heating with the reduced fade that follows from it, matter here in a specific way: on a machine as fast as the Factory, a compound that starts to give way halfway through a session changes the braking point the rider has spent the morning learning. The plate is the standard AGPA177 outline and the pads drop into the original calipers.
The Heaviest Stop of the Lap
A big stop is a sequence, not an event. The lever is squeezed rather than grabbed so the front tyre has a moment to load, pressure rises to its peak while the suspension compresses, and it is then bled off as the bike is turned in, all inside a couple of seconds. On a Tuono V4 1100 Factory the rear end becomes very light at the peak, so anything unexpected from the pads arrives at the worst possible moment. Riders manage the risk with routine rather than with bravery: bed a new set in on an easy first run, note the braking marker once it is trustworthy and stop moving it later in the session, and look into both calipers before the last session of the day rather than after it.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad belongs to the front wheel of the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory in 2015 and 2016. Its rear counterpart, the AGPA42, is listed for a longer period ending in 2018, so the two entries should be read against your own model year rather than assumed to match. Two calipers at the front need two boxes, fitted as a set, and a rider going to a meeting usually orders a spare pair at the same time.
Road Approval
No test paperwork for this article number has ever reached us, and there is no German ABE. It is sold for racing and for closed circuits, which is where a compound of this sort belongs.
