DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha MT-09 has a reputation as a lively, playful naked, and owners who enjoy that side of it often want sharper brakes for fast back roads. Accossato's AGPA97EV1 fits the front of the MT-09 from 2014 to 2026 and uses the EV1 street/track compound. It suits the rider who pushes on at weekends and might add an open track day to the calendar, and who wants one pad that handles both without swapping.

Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is the sport-oriented compound in Accossato's range that is still meant to work on the road. The company describes it as providing excellent grip for road riding and amateur track use. On the MT-09's front, it offers a more immediate response than the everyday compounds while fitting exactly like them, since it uses the same AGPA97 backing. Accossato's general aims of reduced fade and good durability apply.
Precision on a Fast Road
The MT-09's strong midrange encourages quick corner exits, and that means stops for the next bend come up faster than on a smaller bike. A sportier pad such as EV1 makes it easier to adjust speed precisely with a light touch on the lever. The same qualities help on an open track day, where the braking is harder and more frequent. Prepare the bike properly for the circuit: fresh fluid, a check of disc thickness and pad wear, and a few laps at moderate pace to warm the tyres and brakes. On the road, remember that a sportier compound still needs a moment to warm up on a cold morning.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato fits the AGPA97 to the front of the Yamaha MT-09 from 2014 through 2026, with the AGPP88 for the rear. The MT-09 has two front calipers, so two boxes are needed, and both sides should always be renewed together. Since the model has seen several updates, compare the new pads with the old ones before fitting. Clean the pistons, inspect the discs and replace old fluid. Accossato's DK077 and DKS073 discs are also catalogued for this bike. Bed in the pads before hard use.
Road Approval
This EV1 pad is not covered by any German ABE or test certificate in our records. We therefore offer the AGPA97EV1 for track and competition use.
