DescriptionThe whole story▼
Big tourers can be ridden briskly, and the Triumph Trophy 1200 SE has enough engine to make a sweeping road fun. For owners who ride it that way, Accossato makes the AGPA21 front pad in its EV1 street/track compound. The company says EV1 offers excellent grip on the road and for amateur circuit use. It is listed for the Trophy 1200 SE from 2013 to 2018, and it gives a sporty rider a firmer front brake without moving to a pure racing mix.
Key Features
- Accossato AGPA21 front pad, EV1 street/track compound
- Listed for the Triumph Trophy 1200 SE, 2013-2018
- Accossato: excellent grip for street and amateur track riding
- For a sporty pace on open roads
- Firmer bite for late corner entries on a heavy bike
- Two pads per box for one front caliper
- OR and ST are the other versions offered
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is Accossato's compound for riders who want more bite than everyday pads provide but still ride on public roads. The manufacturer's description focuses on grip both on the street and at an amateur track level. Accossato's general traits also apply: slow wear, controlled heat to limit fade and strong deceleration.
Sport Touring With Some Pace
Not every Trophy 1200 SE rider is in a hurry to get to the hotel. Some enjoy the bike's stability on fast, open roads and brake late and hard into bends. A heavy tourer asks a lot of its front pads in that situation, and EV1 is intended to give a firmer, more immediate response when you squeeze the lever. It still works at road temperatures, which a race compound does not. If you ride the Trophy mainly on tours with a passenger and luggage, the ST version is designed for that steadiness. For relaxed commuting, OR is the quieter choice.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA21 for the Trophy 1200 SE from 2013 to 2018, together with AGPA76 for the rear and the DK132 disc for this bike. Two front calipers mean that two boxes are needed. Replace both at the same time, clean the pistons before pressing them back and keep the discs free of grease. Pump the lever until it is solid and bed the pads in before riding quickly.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test documents are held for AGPA21EV1, so it is supplied for racing and competition.
