DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some Triumph Street Cup owners take the café-racer styling at its word and go looking for good roads and the odd open track session. For them the Accossato AGPA72 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound is the relevant choice. It is listed for the Street Cup built from 2017 to 2021 and sits between everyday and full racing materials, aimed at a rider who wants a sharper front brake on a favourite B-road and still intends to ride home afterwards.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Triumph Street Cup, years 2017 to 2021
- EV1 street/track compound on the AGPA72 shape (AGPA72EV1)
- For spirited road riding and a first trackday
- Accossato describes strong grip on the street and in amateur track use
- Two pads, one set for the single front caliper
- Alternatives on the same shape: OR, ST and EV2
- Sold without German ABE, intended for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the EV1 recipe gives a lot of grip for road riding and for amateur use on a circuit. That is a deliberate middle ground: more bite than the everyday mixes, without being tuned only for race temperatures. Like every pad in the range, it is claimed to wear slowly, to resist fade by limiting how hot it gets, and to deliver strong stopping power. The friction layer is bonded to the AGPA72 plate, the same outline used for the other compounds in this family.
From Back Road to First Trackday
A first trackday on a Street Cup is usually about learning lines, not lap times, but it asks far more of the front brake than a ride to the shops. Repeated hard stops at the end of a straight heat the pad and disc quickly, and a material that stays predictable there builds confidence. EV1 is meant for exactly that crossover. Before the event, check pad thickness, bleed or top up the fluid if it has darkened, and bed the new pads in on the road with a series of firm stops. In the paddock, a glance at the disc surface between sessions is time well spent.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the AGPA72 at the front of the Triumph Street Cup (listed as Street 900 Cup) for 2017 to 2021. The model has one front caliper, so one box is enough. The rear brake uses the AGPA76 pad for 2017 to 2020, and the DK203 disc is also listed for this bike. The shape is available as OR, ST and EV2 as well.
Road Approval
No test paperwork or German ABE has been provided to us for this pad. We therefore offer it for circuit and competition riding.
