A road-registered Sherco SE 300 often spends part of each ride on asphalt: the run from home to the trailhead, the tarmac links between gravel sections, a winding mountain road on the way back. For owners whose SE 300 sees a lot of tarmac, Accossato lists front pad AGPA29 for the 2014 to 2019 bike, catalogued as SE 300 R, in the EV1 street/track compound. It gives a firmer, more direct bite on hard surfaces.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says EV1 delivers excellent grip on the street and during amateur track riding. On an enduro bike that rarely sees a race track, the street half of that description is what counts: a firm, reassuring bite on tarmac and hard gravel. Accossato adds low wear, controlled heating and strong stopping power as general traits of its pads.
Asphalt Between the Trails
Enduro riders often underestimate how much road riding they do. A day on the SE 300 might include an hour of tarmac, spread over short links. On knobbly tyres the bike cannot brake as hard as a road machine, but a compound tuned for asphalt still gives a more immediate response than an off-road mixture.
Some owners go further and fit road wheels and tyres for summer. In that case, check that the front caliper and disc are still the parts Accossato lists AGPA29 for, since conversion kits sometimes change them.
Either way, the EV1 compound is the choice for dry, hard surfaces. For deep mud, the off-road plate is the better tool.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA29 is listed by Accossato for the front caliper of the Sherco SE 300 from 2014 to 2019, catalogued as SE 300 R. The rear pad listed for the bike is AGPP80. Replace both pads together, clean the piston before retracting it, and bed in the new set with a few firm stops on a quiet road.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or German approval for this compound. It is sold for track days and competition.
