DescriptionThe whole story▼
Strip the cases off an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 and it turns into a quick, upright three-cylinder that loves a flowing B-road. Owners who ride it like that on Saturday and commute on it during the week may also have signed up for a track day with a friend. Accossato's AGPA177 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA177EV1, is catalogued for the Turismo Veloce 800 from 2014 to 2019 and addresses precisely that rider.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track front pads, article AGPA177EV1
- For the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800, 2014 to 2019
- Accossato quotes excellent road grip and amateur track suitability
- Extra bite when a tourer is ridden like a sports bike
- Still civil for a weekday commute
- ST, EV2 and ZXC also available for this plate
- For competition use; no German approval file
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's words, EV1 gives excellent grip for riding on the street and for amateur use on a track. Put simply, it sits between an all-weather road pad and a full race mixture. That suits a Turismo Veloce used with a sporting edge, since the bike is quick enough to make a track day fun while remaining a practical machine the rest of the week. Accossato also points to slow wear, powerful stopping and a pad that avoids fade by staying cooler. The EV1 friction material comes on the AGPA177 plate.
Cases Off, Visor Down
On a sunny weekend without luggage, the Turismo Veloce feels lighter and far more eager than its touring kit suggests. Riders on such days brake later and harder into bends than on a loaded trip, and they appreciate a pad with a crisp initial response.
For a track outing, remove the cases and mirrors as the organiser requires, check the fluid, and bed in new pads on the road beforehand with a series of progressively firmer stops. Check lever travel after the first session.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Accossato listing for AGPA177 covers the front of the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 from 2014 to 2019, including the Lusso RC SCS. At the rear the same bike takes AGPA42, listed through 2025; Accossato offers no disc for it. Order two boxes for the front, one for each caliper.
Road Approval
AGPA177EV1 is sold for racing and competition, as neither an ABE nor a German test mark has been issued to us for it.
