DescriptionThe whole story▼
The MV Agusta Brutale 675 from 2012 to 2015 is light and eager, which makes it a popular bike for a first track day. This front pad set in EV1 street/track compound suits riders who enjoy quick back roads and are ready to try a circuit, but who ride to the event and home again on the same pads.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track compound for the Brutale 675 front
- Listed for 2012 to 2015
- Accossato cites excellent grip on road and at amateur track days
- Designed for the step from fast roads to the circuit
- Clear lever feedback when braking later
- Two pads per box, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is Accossato's street and track mixture, with excellent grip for road riding and amateur circuit use in the maker's own words. It connects the everyday compounds with the racing ones. Across its pads, Accossato aims for long life, limited heat and fade, and strong deceleration, and EV1 aims those qualities at the rider who does both. For the Brutale 675, a bike that rewards precise inputs, the compound is meant to give a lever you can read as speeds rise.
A First Circuit Day on the 675
A light triple like the Brutale 675 is a forgiving bike to learn circuit riding on. Instructors will ask you to brake harder and later than you ever do on the road, and to repeat it every lap. EV1 is intended for exactly that jump, while remaining pleasant on the ride there. Riders who get hooked often move to EV2 or ZXC for club racing; those who stay mostly on the road may prefer OR or ST.
Getting Ready
Fit new pads to both front calipers and bed them in on the road before the event. Check disc thickness and fluid, consider fresh fluid before the day, and pump the lever until it is solid. Clean the pistons before pushing them back.
Fitment and Compatibility
These AGPA96 pads fit the front of the MV Agusta Brutale 675, 2012 to 2015 models. For the rear caliper Accossato lists AGPA42. With two front calipers, a full front change uses two boxes. Riders who plan a season of track days sometimes keep a second front set ready, so a fresh pair can go in at lunchtime if the first set runs low; a glance at pad thickness before each session tells you when.
Road Approval
No approval paperwork (ABE or test mark) is available to us for this item. It is therefore sold for racing and competition use.
