Group rides into the hills are a staple of cruiser life, and on those days a Moto Guzzi California Custom ABS 1400 is often ridden harder than its looks suggest. Accossato's AGPA96 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA96EV1, is catalogued for the California Custom from 2013 to 2015. It is for the owner who enjoys keeping pace with lighter bikes on a twisty route and wants a front brake with more initial bite for those rides.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says EV1 gives excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use. On a California Custom that spends many weekends on hill roads with a group, a pad with a crisper bite helps when the pace picks up and the gaps between corners get shorter. The maker's general claims for its pads, slow wear, strong stopping and controlled heat to resist fade, apply here too. The EV1 friction layer comes on the AGPA96 plate.
Keeping Up With the Group
A group ride often mixes very different machines: sports bikes, adventure bikes and one or two cruisers. The big Guzzi has the torque to keep up on the straights, but it carries more weight into each bend, and the rider needs strong, predictable front brakes to set the speed before turning. A street and track pad gives that bit of extra response without becoming awkward in town.
Ride your own pace and brake upright before the lean, since ground clearance on a cruiser is limited. Check the pads and fluid before a long group ride, and look at the discs for any scoring.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA96 for the front brake of the Moto Guzzi California Custom ABS 1400 in 2013 to 2015 (listed as California 1400 Custom). The rear uses AGPA92 for the same years; Accossato offers no disc for this model. Order two boxes to cover both front calipers.
Road Approval
AGPA96EV1 has no ABE or German approval mark in our records. It is therefore supplied for racing and competition.
