DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of KTM 890 Adventure owners spend their Sundays on fast country roads rather than gravel, and some of them book a circuit day once or twice a season. For that rider Accossato makes the AGPA106 front pad in its EV1 street/track mixture. It fits the 890 Adventure of model year 2022 and is meant for someone who rides briskly on sweeping B-roads, wants a sharper initial bite than a touring compound offers and would like to try a first track day without changing pads the night before.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA106 for the KTM 890 Adventure, 2022
- EV1 street/track mixture, SKU AGPA106EV1
- Accossato rates its grip as excellent on the road and for amateur circuit use
- Suits spirited riding on winding country roads
- Lets a newcomer to track days start on familiar pads
- Strong feel through the lever from the first squeeze
- The same plate is sold as ST, EV2 and ZXC
- No ABE on file with us; offered for track use
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's words, EV1 gives excellent grip for street riding and for hobby track sessions. That dual brief is what separates it from the pure race mixtures on the same backing plate: it has to work at the moderate temperatures of a ride to the café and still cope when the pace rises on a closed circuit. The Turin-area manufacturer also states that its pads stay effective without much fading, since they limit heat build-up, and that they last a long time.
From Country Lanes to a First Track Day
An 890 Adventure is not the obvious circuit tool, yet its light chassis and eager twin make it great fun on a small, twisty track. Riders who try it usually discover that the front brake is used far harder than on the road, lap after lap. A street/track pad bridges that gap: it gives confident stopping on the way to the circuit, and it keeps a firm lever during the open-pit sessions that follow.
Back on public roads the same set simply feels keen and direct, which many experienced riders prefer when trail-braking into a bend. After fitting, clean the pistons before pushing them back, pump the lever until it is hard, then bed the pads in with a series of progressively firmer stops. Replace the pads on both sides together.
Fitment and Compatibility
This listing covers the front caliper of the KTM 890 Adventure from 2022. Accossato does not list other years of the 890 Adventure for AGPA106, and no matching rear pad or disc is catalogued for this bike. Check how many calipers your bike has and hold the old pads against the new ones before installation.
Road Approval
No ABE or test certificate for AGPA106EV1 has been supplied to us, so the set is sold for circuit and competition riding.
Scope of Delivery
The box holds two EV1 pads, enough for a single caliper.
