DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some 450SX-F owners split their time between a motocross track and a supermoto or hard-pack circuit where the surface is closer to tarmac than dirt, and Accossato's EV1 street/track front pad, listed across the 2003 to 2026 production run, is aimed at that crossover rather than at loose, muddy motocross conditions specifically.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track compound for the KTM 450SX-F front caliper
- Listed by Accossato across the 2003 to 2026 production run
- Strong grip for firmer, hard-pack surfaces, according to the maker
- Suited to supermoto-style riding rather than loose motocross dirt
- No pad change needed moving between firm-surface disciplines
- OR, ST and STMX front compounds exist for the same caliper
- Two pads per box, enough for one front caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato places its EV1 mixture among its road and firm-surface compounds, built to give strong grip where the surface offers real, consistent traction rather than the loose, shifting dirt of a motocross track. A 450SX-F converted or ridden for supermoto work meets exactly that kind of surface, and this compound is built to reward the harder, later braking a firmer track allows rather than the softer touch loose dirt demands.
When the Dirt Bike Meets a Firmer Surface
Riders who take a 450SX-F onto a hard-pack or supermoto circuit are asking the front brake to do a different job than a muddy motocross track ever would, with real grip available and corners that reward confident, late braking. This EV1 pad is matched to that firmer surface, holding its bite rather than behaving as though the track is still loose underneath. A rider moving a 450SX-F between disciplines over the course of a season benefits from a front pad that does not need to be swapped every time the next event is on asphalt-like hard-pack instead of a freshly watered motocross track, and this compound is built to cover that firmer end of the bike's use without compromise.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's listing for this EV1 pad runs the full length of the 450SX-F's production, 2003 through to 2026, which is long enough that checking the exact model year against Accossato's own reference is worth the extra minute. OR, ST and STMX remain the other options for this front caliper when conditions turn looser and muddier.
Road Approval
No approval paperwork, such as a German ABE or a type approval mark, is available to us for this pad, so it is listed for racing and competition use. The 450SX-F is a closed-course machine and is not intended for public roads.
Scope of Delivery
Two brake pads in the box, one set for a single front caliper. No mounting pins, springs or other hardware are included in the package.
