DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many riders use a light bike like the KTM 250 Duke to sharpen their skills, whether on an advanced riding course, a braking workshop at a training ground or brisk rides on twisty back roads. For owners of the 2014 and 2015 models who ride that way, Accossato offers the AGPA184 front pad in EV1 street/track. The maker says it gives excellent grip for road riding and amateur track use, and it provides a firmer, more immediate bite at the lever.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track front pads (AGPA184EV1)
- KTM 250 Duke, 2014 and 2015
- Accossato: excellent grip on the road and in amateur track use
- Firm, immediate response for skills training
- Suits brisk riding on back roads
- One box for the single front caliper
- No ABE; competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV1 as a mixture for road and amateur circuit use, offering excellent grip in both. On a 250 Duke, that gives a front brake with a firmer initial response, which helps riders practise hard, controlled stops and trail braking. The friction face is bonded to the AGPA184 plate. Like the rest of the range, it is designed to limit heat and fade.
Skills Courses and Back Roads
Advanced riding courses often include emergency stops and braking exercises, where the rider learns how hard the front brake can be used before the tyre reaches its limit. A pad with a clear, firm response makes that feedback easier to feel. On back roads, the same precision lets the rider brake later and more accurately before bends.
Before a course or a track session, check pad depth, disc condition and brake fluid. After fitting new pads, pump the lever until it is firm and bed them in with progressively harder stops on a quiet road. Inspect the pads again after the event, since hard training stops wear them faster than normal riding. The 250 Duke is light enough that a firmer compound makes a clear difference to how quickly it can be brought to a halt.
Fitment and Compatibility
This AGPA184 is catalogued by Accossato for the 250 Duke from KTM in its 2014 and 2015 versions. One box equips the single front caliper completely. Should the rear pads also be worn, the matching Accossato part is the AGPP91; compare old and new before fitting.
Road Approval
No ABE or test mark for this EV1 set is in our records; it is sold for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
