DescriptionThe whole story▼
The 1190 Adventure was the bike that showed how fast a big KTM travel machine could be on tarmac. Between 2013 and 2016 many owners discovered that it could keep pace with sports tourers on a mountain road. For them Accossato makes this front pad in EV1 street/track, a compound the company says grips excellently on the road and during amateur track sessions. It gives the 1190 a sharper feel at the lever for brisk riding.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track compound for brisk riding
- Front pads for the KTM 1190 Adventure, 2013 to 2016
- Accossato cites excellent grip on road and hobby track
- Sharper response when squeezing hard
- Set for one caliper per box
- Matching rear pad AGPA29 available
- Sold for competition use in Germany
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as a compound with excellent grip for street riding and amateur circuit use. It says the same about EV1 as about its other pads: slow wear, a long life and fade kept in check because heat builds gradually. No friction coefficients are released. In practice, 1190 riders who switch to EV1 are looking for a more immediate response when they brake hard for a tight corner.
Keeping Up With Sports Tourers
On a mountain road the 1190 Adventure can be ridden surprisingly hard. Its upright riding position lets you brake late and look far into the next corner, and a more direct front brake adds confidence. EV1 is intended for that rider, and it also suits a first track day, where the stops are harder and more frequent. For relaxed commuting OR is the calmer choice, and ST is designed for touring in wet weather.
After the Ride
Spirited riding uses pads faster than touring. After a lively weekend, look at the pad thickness on both sides and check the discs for heat marks or uneven wear.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's AGPA96 pad is listed for the front of the KTM 1190 Adventure from 2013 to 2016. Two front calipers mean two boxes for a full front change. The rear uses AGPA29. Push the cleaned pistons back evenly and bed the new pads in with moderate stops before riding hard.
Road Approval
EV1 pads come without German approval paperwork, so we offer them for racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
