DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some owners of the Honda VFR800X Crossrunner bought it for the V4 howl rather than the luggage rack. If your Sunday involves a string of fast bends and perhaps a first open track day at a nearby circuit, the EV1 street/track mixture is the Accossato option to consider. This article is the AGPA108 front pad for the 2015 and 2016 models, pairing the upright crossover with a compound that aims to give strong grip on country roads while coping with an occasional session on a closed course.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Honda VFR800X Crossrunner, model years 2015 and 2016
- Article AGPA108EV1 in the EV1 street/track mixture
- Strong grip for spirited road riding, per Accossato
- Suitable for amateur track days and circuit training
- Firm, readable bite when braking later into bends
- One box holds the two pads for one caliper
- Sold for competition use; no German ABE in our files
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 sits between the everyday mixtures and the full racing compounds. Accossato says it provides excellent grip for road use and for amateur track outings, which describes a rider who pushes harder than a commuter but does not live in the paddock. The maker also names benefits common to its pads: high stopping force, limited heat build-up that works against fade, and wear that stays moderate. The friction face is the only part that differs from the other AGPA108 versions; the plate outline stays the same.
From Back Road to First Track Day
A first visit to a circuit usually means a novice group, an instructor and several short sessions. The brake is used harder than on the road, and the rider starts to brake later and more precisely. The VFR800X Crossrunner is not a sports bike, yet its V4 and comfortable stance make track training enjoyable, and a mixture made for that step lets you explore braking points without changing pads between the ride there and the laps. Check disc condition and fluid level the evening before, and ride the first laps gently to warm everything.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato assigns the AGPA108 to the front of the Honda VFR800X Crossrunner for 2015 and 2016. From 2017 on, the front requires AGPA250, while the AGPP55 rear pad serves the full period from 2015 to 2018. The bike uses two front calipers, so plan for two boxes and change both sides together. The AGPA108 shape is also produced in Organic, Sintered, EV2 and ZXC form.
Road Approval
No approval documents or ABE exist in our records for this EV1 set, which we therefore offer for track and competition riding.
