DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Honda VFR1200F brought a big V4, shaft drive and an optional dual-clutch gearbox to the sports-touring class, and it still attracts riders who enjoy covering ground quickly. For its front brake, Accossato offers the AGPA193 pad for the 2010 to 2019 model years, and for this bike the company lists it in a single mixture: EV1 street/track. It is aimed at owners who ride briskly on open roads and like the idea of an occasional track session.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato designed EV1 street/track to give strong bite on the road while remaining usable for amateur circuit riding. The company describes the grip as excellent in both roles. Its general aims for the pad range apply as well: a long life with modest wear, a restricted temperature rise that stops fade from setting in and strong stopping force whenever it is needed. On a heavy, fast machine like the VFR1200F that combination gives the front lever a firm and precise character.
Sports-Touring at Pace
A VFR1200F covers distance effortlessly, and on a fast road the speeds build up quickly. That places real demands on the front brake at every roundabout, hairpin and motorway exit. EV1 street/track is intended for riders who use that performance and who may also take the bike to an open pit-lane day. Before fitting, clean the caliper pistons with brake cleaner and a soft brush, push them back carefully and check the fluid level, since it will rise as the pistons retract. Pump the lever until pressure returns, then run a series of steady stops to bed the pads to the discs.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA193 for the front of the Honda VFR1200F from 2010 to 2019, both for the VFR 1200 F and the VFR 1200 F with DCT. The VFR1200F uses two front calipers, so a complete front change calls for two boxes. For the rear, Accossato names three different pads, the AGPP55, AGPP88 and AGPP240, depending on version, so check your bike before ordering.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or any German test certificate for the AGPA193EV1. We offer these pads for racing and circuit use.
