DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every Honda CRF230F stays on the trail. Some owners fit smaller wheels and road tyres and turn their bike into a playful supermoto for go-kart circuits and quiet backroads. For them, Accossato lists the AGPA51 front pad for the CRF230F of 2003 to 2021 in its EV1 street/track version. The mixture is meant for spirited road riding and for amateur track sessions, so it suits owners who spend more time on asphalt with their little air-cooled four-stroke than the factory ever imagined.

- No ABE on file; intended for competition and track use
Construction and Material Quality
The EV1 is Accossato's answer for riders who brake later and harder on tarmac. The company states that this mixture offers excellent grip for street riding and for amateur use on the track. Mounted on the AGPA51 backing, it goes into the CRF230F caliper without any modification. Accossato also points to durable wear, restricted heat build-up and consistent performance, all of which matter when the bike repeats the same hard braking point lap after lap on a kart circuit.
First Laps on a Kart Circuit
Supermoto conversions of small trail bikes are popular for good reason: they are cheap to run and teach braking technique quickly. On a kart track the front brake of a CRF230F works harder than on any trail, with repeated stops from higher speeds and very little time to cool between corners. A pad designed for that rhythm keeps the lever feel consistent through a session.
Before the first outing, check that the disc is clean and free of grease, bleed the system if the fluid is old, and bed the new pads with several progressively firmer stops. Between sessions, let the brakes cool with a slow lap, and inspect the pad thickness at the end of the day.
Fitment and Compatibility
Model years 2003 through 2021 of the CRF230F take this front pad, whether the bike still wears its original spoked wheels or runs a smaller supermoto rim with the standard caliper. Behind, Honda fitted a drum, so the catalogue holds nothing for the rear. If you later return the bike to the dirt, OR, ST and STMX sit on the identical backing. Lay an outgoing pad beside a new one to confirm the outline.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval document for the AGPA51EV1 in our records. The set is therefore sold for competition, track days and use away from public roads.
