Small-capacity racing has a loyal following, and the Honda CBR125R has taken part in it for years: in one-make cups, at youth trackdays and on karting circuits opened to small motorcycles. For riders who take the 2003 to 2018 bike to the track, Accossato lists the AGPA160 in EV1 street/track mixture. It is the version for a young rider who wants a sharper front brake on a circuit but still rides the same bike on the road during the week.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as offering excellent grip for street riding and for amateur track use. On a CBR125R, where corner speed matters more than straight-line speed, a front brake that bites cleanly lets the rider trail into a bend with confidence and keep momentum. The plate is the standard AGPA160 outline shared by all three versions of the article, so no other parts change when switching to it.
Small Bikes on Big Circuits
On a circuit, a light 125 is ridden flat out for most of the lap, and the brakes are used hard but briefly. A pad that works well on the road but fades after a few fast stops can make a young rider nervous. The EV1 set is meant to bridge that gap, so the same bike can ride to the track, do a full day of sessions and ride home.
Get the bike ready at home. Fit the pads, clean the piston, check the fluid and bed in the new set on the road with progressively firmer stops. At the circuit, look at the pads after every couple of sessions and make sure the lever feels firm before each run.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA160 is listed by Accossato for the Honda CBR125R from 2003 to 2018, named as the CBR 125 R. The front has one caliper. For the rear brake the AGPP181 is listed from 2011 to 2024. Race bikes often carry mixed parts, so check the fitted pad first.
Road Approval
The AGPA160EV1 has no ABE or German test certificate in our records, which is why it is offered for racing and competition.
