DescriptionThe whole story▼
Light and narrow, the Honda CB250R is a bike that rewards commitment on a twisting back road, and some owners take it further, onto a kart circuit or a first open track day. For them Accossato offers the AGPA240 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound. It fits the CB250R of 2018 to 2023 and is meant for riders who brake later and harder than a commuter, on country lanes at the weekend and on a short circuit now and then, without switching pads in between.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track front pads for the Honda CB250R, 2018 to 2023
- Accossato AGPA240 shape, article number AGPA240EV1
- Intended for spirited road riding and amateur track outings
- Accossato speaks of strong grip on the street and at the circuit
- Two pads per box, one set for the single front caliper
- Offered in Organic (OR) and Sintered (ST) for calmer use
- No German ABE on record; supplied for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is Accossato's material for riders who split their time between public roads and the occasional circuit day. The maker describes it as delivering a high level of grip in both settings, which is the reason to choose it over the everyday materials of the same shape. It is a pad for someone who uses the front brake as a tool for pace rather than only for stopping. The box holds two pads, sized to the AGPA240 backing that fits the front caliper.
From Back Road to Kart Track
Small bikes are fast where corners come close together, and a CB250R carries its speed by braking late and turning in early. On a back road that means repeated firm stops into bends, each one adding heat; on a kart or short club circuit the pattern tightens further, with hardly a straight long enough to let the disc cool. Riders new to track days soon discover that the front lever becomes the main input of every lap. Before a circuit outing, check pad thickness and disc condition, bleed the system if the fluid is old, and make sure the lever returns firm after a few hard pulls in the paddock. Between sessions, let the brake cool without holding the lever at a standstill.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this pad for the front caliper of the Honda CB250R made from 2018 to 2023. With one caliper on the front wheel, the CB250R needs a single box. Clean the pistons before pushing them back, fit both pads together and bed them in with progressively harder stops before your first fast session. There is no Accossato disc or rear pad in the listing for this bike at present.
Road Approval
Documentation such as a German ABE or a test certificate has not been provided to us for this pad, so we offer the AGPA240EV1 for track days and racing.
