Construction and Material Quality
Two jobs are described in a single sentence by the maker, and they pull in slightly different directions. Public roads want bite from a disc that has been idling at a set of lights. Twenty minutes inside a circuit fence want the same relationship between finger and front wheel after the tenth heavy stop in a row. The carrier is the familiar AGPA177 plate, unchanged from suffix to suffix, so nothing about the installation alters when the friction layer does. Limited heat build-up, and therefore less fade, is what Accossato claims for the range, and it is the back half of a session where a rider finds out whether that holds.
Out at Dawn, Home by Eight
A track day on a Scrambler 800 has a shape nobody warns you about. The bike is loaded the night before, you queue for the noise test in the dark, sit through a briefing you will half remember and then follow an instructor round at a pace that feels almost rude. By the third outing the end of the straight has acquired a marker of its own, and the front of the bike is doing work it never does on the way to the shops.
Then the whole lot has to be ridden home, which is the part that decides the compound. Measure what is left of the friction material before you set off rather than in the paddock, run a fingernail over the disc face, and scrub a fresh set in gently across a few ordinary days so the first session is not spent bedding pads. Watch the fluid, and let the Scrambler 800 stand and cool at the end of the day before anything is strapped down.
Fitment and Compatibility
Cover for the front pad begins with the 2017 season and reaches 2026 on the standard 803. Within that run the Cafe Racer is named to 2020 and the Desert Sled to 2023, since neither variant stayed in the range for the whole period. One box serves the single front caliper. The rear of the same machine is looked after by the AGPP91, an entry that closes a year earlier in 2025, and the Accossato disc list for this Scrambler 800 shows the DK008 beside the DKS074. Machines from outside those seasons want a lookup of their own rather than an assumption.

We hold no ABE and no German inspection certificate for the AGPA177EV1, which puts the article in the competition column: closed courses and organised events only.
