DescriptionThe whole story▼
A first track day is mostly about unlearning habits. Novice group, a briefing at eight, and an instructor who spends the morning explaining that the front brake will take far more than a road rider usually gives it. A light naked machine such as the CFMOTO NK 450 is a forgiving place to learn that lesson. Accossato's AGPA96EV1 carries the EV1 street/track compound on the AGPA96 plate for the NK 450 of 2024 to 2026, and the company puts the material forward for this exact mixture of road riding and amateur circuit use.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the CFMOTO NK 450, 2024 to 2026
- AGPA96EV1: the AGPA96 plate carrying the EV1 street/track compound
- Accossato offers it for keen road use and for amateur track days
- A sensible choice for a bike that does both in the same month
- One box, one caliper, two pads
- Look at the front wheel of your NK 450 and count before ordering
- OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC cover the other uses of this plate
- AGPP181 is the rear pad for this model; no German ABE is on record
Construction and Material Quality
With EV1 Accossato steps past its road materials without going all the way to the racing ones, and describes the result as strong grip on the street and in amateur track work. That middle ground fits a bike ridden to the circuit, round it for six sessions and home again. The NK 450 does not generate the heat a large machine does, so the compound spends a novice session comfortably inside its range, and the same pads are still sensible company in the evening traffic on the way back.
A First Day on a Circuit
Nothing on a track day punishes a brake like a rider who is learning. Slowing too early and then again in the corner, going in deep and grabbing a handful, following somebody faster and repeating their mistakes, all of it puts more work through the front of the bike than a smooth expert ever does. What a novice needs is a brake that answers consistently while the technique improves, because a lever which feels different in the fourth session teaches entirely the wrong lesson.
A bike used for a day like that wants checking before the ride home. Look at the pads after the last session, compare the two sides, check the disc for a step at the outer edge and give the fluid a glance, since six sessions put more through a front brake than a month of commuting. New pads should have been bedded in during the week beforehand with a run of firm stops on a quiet road, not on the out lap of the first session.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the NK 450 of 2024 to 2026 for this pad. Nothing earlier appears, and machines from other CFMOTO families have their own entries, so confirm the fitment before the order rather than after it. A box equips one caliper, which makes counting calipers the first job. Renew both pads in a caliper together, and where the front wheel carries a caliper on each side, do the pair at the same time. The rear of the NK 450 is covered by the AGPP181 for the same seasons, and there is no Accossato disc for this machine.
Road Approval
We have no test documentation and no German ABE for the AGPA96EV1, which is why it appears among the competition parts in the catalogue.
Scope of Delivery
One box, two AGPA96 pads in the EV1 street/track compound, the set for a single caliper.
