DescriptionThe whole story▼
Light machines flatter a rider on a twisting road. The CFMOTO CL-X 300 changes direction with very little effort, carries speed through a bend that a bigger bike would have to fight for, and asks its front brake for short, firm applications rather than long ones. Accossato's EV1 street/track material is aimed at riders who use a bike that way, and the company offers it on the AGPA32 front pad of the CL-X 300 of 2024, describing it as a mixture for road riding and for amateur track sessions.
Key Features
- AGPA32EV1: front pads for the CFMOTO CL-X 300 in the EV1 street/track material
- Listed for the 2024 model year
- Accossato's stated field: road use and amateur circuit sessions
- Positioned between the everyday mixtures and the competition ones
- Each box holds the two pads a caliper needs
- Confirm the caliper count on your front wheel before you order
- The same plate is also pressed in OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
- No German ABE on file; for circuits and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of EV1 street/track names two settings rather than one, which is the whole point of the material. It is meant to grip well on the public road and to keep doing so during amateur sessions on a circuit, where a rider is using the lever hard many times in twenty minutes. Neither half is treated as an afterthought. Underneath, everything is ordinary AGPA32: the same plate, the same outline, the same drop into the front caliper of the CL-X 300, with a box making up a caliper's pair.
Momentum, and the Places It Runs Out
A small bike is ridden on its momentum. You brake late and briefly, get the CL-X 300 turned and then spend the rest of the corner trying not to lose what speed remains, which puts a very particular demand on the front end: not an enormous single effort, but a short and accurate one, over and over, at a pace the rider has chosen deliberately. Ridden like that on a good road, a light machine works its front brake far harder than its size suggests to anyone watching.
Novice track sessions run on precisely this principle, which is why small bikes fill them. Before an open day, take the pads out and look at them properly instead of guessing through the spokes, make sure the fluid has been changed within living memory, and give a new set a bedding-in run of gradually firmer stops before the session in which you actually want them. Between runs, roll the bike off the lever so the front end can shed its warmth in the paddock rather than holding it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list is a short one here: the CFMOTO CL-X 300 of 2024 and nothing else. Owners of machines from other seasons need a different article number, and no amount of similarity in the name changes that. Neither a rear pad nor a brake disc for this model appears in the Accossato programme. As always, a caliper is filled by one box, and its two pads are changed as a pair rather than one at a time.
Road Approval
The AGPA32EV1 comes to us without a German ABE and without any approval mark, so we list it as a competition part for use away from public roads.
