DescriptionThe whole story▼
Take the panniers off an R 1250 RT, leave the top case in the garage, and the tourer turns into something else for the afternoon. Riders who do that on a free Sunday arrive at bends rather faster than the bike's reputation suggests, and they use the front lever firmly each time. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound on the AGPA252 pad is drawn for that kind of outing on the BMW R 1250 RT of 2019 to 2024: the public road first, with the occasional session on a closed course behind it.
Key Features
- AGPA252EV1: front pads in the EV1 street/track compound
- Fits the BMW R 1250 RT built between 2019 and 2024
- Covers the RT Sport of the 2019 and 2020 seasons under the same entry
- Accossato names public-road riding and amateur circuit use as the purpose
- One box equips one caliper, and this tourer has a caliper on each front disc
- Sister article numbers carry the ST, EV2 and ZXC materials
- AGPA92 is the matching rear pad across the same model years
- No German ABE documented; intended for closed circuits
Construction and Material Quality
Plate and outline are shared with every other AGPA252 article; what differs is the mixture pressed onto the face. Accossato places this one between the materials it builds for daily traffic and those meant purely for competition, and claims strong grip on the public road as well as in amateur track use. That is a narrower promise than a racing material makes, and on a tall touring machine it is the more useful of the two, because stopping power that arrives without theatre is worth more here than a last tenth of a second at a marker board.
The Tourer on a Free Sunday
An unladen R 1250 RT on a dry morning is a quick thing, and the pace climbs without anyone deciding that it should. Corners arrive sooner, the lever is pulled more often than on a touring day, and the pads get no real pause between one bend and the next. This is where a material chosen for gentle everyday work starts to feel vague: the lever sits nearer the grip at the end of the road than it did at the start, and confidence goes with it. Something drawn for harder road use holds its manners for longer. Good sense still applies. Break a spirited run with a coffee so the front end can cool, look at how much friction material is left on each pad before you set off again, and give a fresh set a careful handful of progressive stops before you lean on it.
Fitment and Compatibility
The catalogue shows this shape at the front wheel of the R 1250 RT from 2019 to 2024, with the RT Sport of 2019 and 2020 on the same line. Two front calipers mean two boxes for a finished job, and the pads on the left and right should be renewed at the same time. If a compound aimed at road and circuit is not what your riding asks for, the identical plate is made in three further materials. The rear of this RT is covered by the AGPA92 over the same span, and the DK006 appears as the Accossato disc for the machine.
Road Approval
We hold no approval papers for the AGPA252EV1, no German ABE, and no marking we could point to as evidence for use in traffic. These pads leave us for circuit riding and competition.
