DescriptionThe whole story▼
A first track day on a naked bike teaches you two things quickly: the wind holds you back down the straight, and you still arrive at the marker with plenty of speed to lose. The BMW M1000R has the engine and the chassis for an afternoon of that, and Accossato's AGPA291 front pad in the EV1 street/track material is drawn for riders who divide their year between fast roads and the occasional circuit. The listing covers the M1000R from 2023 to 2026.
Key Features
- Front pads for the BMW M1000R, model years 2023 to 2026
- AGPA291EV1: the AGPA291 outline in the EV1 street/track material
- Accossato names road riding and amateur circuit use as the field of work
- One box, two pads, one caliper
- The M1000R stops on two front calipers, so two boxes complete the axle
- The EV2 racing material covers the same outline for harder use
- From 2024 Accossato also lists the AGPA884 pad at the front of this model
- Rear pads carry the number AGPP91
- No German ABE on record; sold for circuit and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Between the everyday materials and those kept for racing sits EV1 street/track, whose grip Accossato calls excellent both on the public road and in amateur track use. The wording repays a careful reading, because it neither promises race behaviour nor pretends to be a touring pad. On a naked machine of this sort, ridden to the circuit, round it and home again on the same day, that middle position is the practical one. Nothing else about the part changes with the choice: the outline is the same, the steel plate is the same, and the same pair fills one caliper.
A Naked Bike in the Novice Group
Novice sessions are where most riders discover how much brake they have never used. The instructor asks for smooth lines rather than late stops, and even so the front brake does more in twenty minutes than in a week of ordinary riding. A naked M1000R behaves helpfully here, because air pressure on your chest takes some speed off before the lever is even touched and the upright seating position makes markers easy to pick out. It also means your arms and stomach have to hold you in place, with no tank and screen to lean into. Between sessions, glance at the pads through the opening in the caliper, hold a hand near the discs rather than on them to judge the heat they are carrying, and let the bike stand where air can reach the wheels.
Fitment and Compatibility
This outline is catalogued for the front wheel of the M 1000 R from 2023 to 2026, which is the whole run of the model so far. A pair of boxes covers both calipers, and changing them together keeps the two sides wearing at the same rate. Accossato adds the AGPA884 pad at the front of the M1000R from 2024 onwards, a second outline for the same place on the bike, so compare shapes before ordering. The EV2 racing material is available on this outline for riders who go past amateur sessions, and the rear of the machine is served by the AGPP91.
Road Approval
Accossato has issued no ABE for the AGPA291EV1 and no approval mark appears on the pad, so we have nothing that would cover it on the public road. It is sold for track days and for competition.
Scope of Delivery
