DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of Beta RR 430 4T owners see as much tarmac as trail. The bike is plated, the lanes are twenty minutes of country road away, and a set of supermoto wheels turns the same machine into something that enjoys a kart circuit on a Sunday. For that mixed life Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in its EV1 street/track compound, listed for the RR 430 4T from 2015 to 2021 and aimed at riders who ask a dual-sport enduro to behave on asphalt.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Beta RR 430 4T, model years 2015 to 2021
- Article number AGPA51EV1: the AGPA51 outline in the EV1 street/track compound
- Accossato describes strong grip for road riding and amateur circuit work
- Two pads in the box, the pair a single caliper needs
- The OR, ST and STMX versions use the same outline
- Rear of this Beta: AGPP106, catalogued from 2015 to 2019
- Accossato's disc programme lists the DK017 for the RR 430 4T
- No German ABE on record; supplied for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato says about this mixture is that it grips hard on the road and holds up when an amateur rider takes the same bike onto a circuit. Tarmac asks something different of a pad than a forest track does. Grip under the tyre is no longer the limit, so the brake is allowed to work properly, the speeds at the end of a straight are higher, and heat builds in a way it never does in the woods. A compound meant for that use has to stay predictable as the temperature climbs through a session.
Supermoto Wheels on Sunday
An enduro converted for asphalt is a strange, happy machine. The chassis is tall and narrow, the tyres are wide and sticky, and the front brake suddenly has real grip to work against, which means a rider can lean on the lever hard enough to lift the rear wheel on the way into a hairpin. Riders who run a kart track on a Sunday do that fifty times in a session, then ride the RR 430 4T home on the same pads. The lever has to feel the same on the last lap as it did on the first.
Road and circuit use bring their own checks. Pads that live on tarmac wear more evenly than trail ones, but they get hotter, so watch the disc as well as the friction material, and keep an eye on the fluid, which ages faster on a bike that is worked hard. A fresh set wants a handful of firm stops from moderate speed before the first session rather than a cold flying lap. And after any wheel comes out, pump the lever back to a solid feel before the bike moves.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entry for the AGPA51 covers the front wheel of the Beta RR 430 4T across the 2015 to 2021 seasons. A supermoto wheel swap usually leaves the original caliper in place, in which case the same pads apply, but it is worth checking your own conversion. At the rear the AGPP106 is named for the RR 430 4T only between 2015 and 2019. Pads go in as a pair on each caliper and both sides of an axle should be renewed together; a box covers one caliper. The DK017 disc is the Accossato option for this Beta.
Road Approval
Our records hold no German ABE and no test certificate for the AGPA51EV1, so it goes into the competition section of the catalogue. Riding on public roads calls for approved parts.
