DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fit a set of road wheels to a Beta RR 125 2T and it turns into something else entirely: a light, sharp little supermoto that will happily spend a Sunday on a kart circuit. The front brake is then used in a way no trail rider would recognise, hard and late and from the same point lap after lap. Accossato's EV1 street/track material is aimed at that rider, and the AGPA51 shape puts it on the front wheel of the RR 125 built in 2018 and 2019.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Beta RR 125 2T, 2018 and 2019
- Article number AGPA51EV1: the AGPA51 shape in the EV1 street/track material
- Accossato describes strong grip for road riding and amateur track use
- Aimed at supermoto conversions, riding schools and a first track day
- Two pads to a box, the set a single caliper takes
- Accossato presses the same shape in the OR, ST and STMX materials
- Rear pads for this Beta: AGPP106, 2018 and 2019
- No German ABE in our files; offered for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 street/track sits between the everyday materials and the pure racing ones, and Accossato describes it in just those terms: grip for the road, with enough in reserve for amateur track work. On a small two-stroke that translates into a pad which answers strongly to a firm pull without demanding a warm-up lap before it wakes up. The AGPA51 outline is the one the trail materials use as well, so nothing at the caliper of the RR 125 2T changes apart from the mixture pressed into it.
Kart Circuits and Late Entry
A supermoto lap is almost all corner. The straights are short, the slowing is heavy, and the front tyre carries the whole machine at the very point where the rider is also tipping it in. Because the bike weighs so little, the front brake makes a greater difference to a lap time than engine output ever will, and a rider who trusts the lever can hold a higher entry speed on a smaller margin. That trust comes from a pad which behaves on the tenth lap as it did on the second.
Track riding rewards preparation. Bed new pads in on a quiet road first, with a series of firm stops from moderate speed, so that the opening session does not begin with an unfamiliar bite. Between outings, glance into the caliper and at the fluid, because the heat built up over twenty minutes of repeated stops has to go somewhere. Check that the lever returns to the same place each time and that nothing has started to drag. On the ride home, treat the first application as the cold one it is.
Fitment and Compatibility
Years matter more than usual here, because Accossato lists this pad only for the 2018 and 2019 Beta RR 125. A converted supermoto often passes through several owners and may carry no obvious clue to its build year, so read the documents before ordering. Pads come out and go in as pairs, and a box contains a pair. The rear of the RR 125 2T is covered by the AGPP106 in the same two seasons, and since Accossato lists no disc for this model, whatever is fitted stays where it is.
Road Approval
The AGPA51EV1 comes to us without approval documents, and no German ABE is attached to it. We list it with our track equipment, for closed circuits and competition.
