DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some 502C owners never leave the boulevard. Others take the long way home, find an empty stretch of country road and use the front brake far harder than a cruiser is usually asked to. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound in the AGPA112 pad is drawn for the second group: a material the firm places between its everyday pads and its racing ones, offered here for the front wheel of the Benelli 502C of 2019 and of 2023 to 2024. Ridden with intent, the low twin covers ground faster than its silhouette suggests.
Key Features
- AGPA112EV1: front pads in the EV1 street/track compound
- For the Benelli 502C of model year 2019 and of 2023 to 2024
- Accossato names road riding and amateur track sessions as the purpose
- Positioned between the everyday materials and the pure race ones
- A box equals one caliper, so check what sits behind your front wheel
- The OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC versions share this plate and outline
- Rear pads for the same cruiser are listed under AGPA42
- No German ABE in our files; intended for closed circuits
Construction and Material Quality
What separates one AGPA112 article number from the next is the friction material, and this one carries EV1 street/track. Accossato's claim for it is deliberately narrower than a race claim: excellent grip on the public road and in amateur track use. That is a useful promise for a heavy, low machine whose owner occasionally rides it hard, because it says the material is drawn for warmth without demanding it. High stopping power is the property the firm puts at the front of its own description. Two pads travel in the box, the count for a single caliper and no more.
When the Road Opens Up
Ride a 502C briskly along a road you know and the front brake starts doing work it never sees in traffic. Corners arrive sooner, the bike is long and has to be slowed before it can be turned, and the lever is squeezed hard several times a minute instead of twice in a village. Heat collects in pad and disc together. A material that behaves impeccably at town speed can go vague under that, and the lever drifts closer to the bar than where it sat at the start of the road.
A compound built with some warmth in mind holds its manners longer, though no pad excuses the rest of the routine. Break a spirited ride with a stop, let the front end cool rather than parking on the brake at a viewpoint, and glance at the thickness of the friction material before you set off again. New pads deserve a handful of measured stops before you lean on them, and the lever wants pumping up after any change.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad shape is catalogued for the front of the Benelli 502C in 2019 and again for the 2023 and 2024 machines; the intervening seasons have no entry, and we will not claim they are covered. Since a box serves one caliper, a complete front change depends on the caliper count, and both sides of the axle should be renewed at the same time so the wheel is stopped evenly. Should the street-and-track character be more than you want, four other materials sit on the identical plate, and the AGPA42 covers the rear of the same 502C.
Road Approval
No test certificate and no German ABE have reached us for the AGPA112EV1. Without those papers we can only sell it for track days, closed courses and competition, not as a part for public traffic.
Scope of Delivery
