DescriptionThe whole story▼
There is a road most riders keep for the evenings. You know where it tightens, where the surface breaks up and which corner deserves respect, and because you know it you carry more speed and use the brakes harder than you would anywhere unfamiliar. A Dorsoduro 900 is an eager companion on that kind of run. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound in the AGPA101 pad is built for riders who ride that way and occasionally book a track day, and it is offered for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 of 2018 to 2020.
Key Features
- AGPA101EV1: front pads in the EV1 street/track material
- Aprilia Dorsoduro 900, model years 2018 to 2020
- Accossato names road use and amateur track sessions as its field
- Sits between the everyday materials and the racing ones in the range
- A box holds two pads and fills one of the two front calipers
- The same shape is also produced as OR, ST and EV2
- Rear pads for this bike are catalogued as AGPP91
- No German ABE on record; sold for circuit and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The distinguishing feature of this article number is a friction material Accossato positions for two worlds at once. Its description mentions excellent grip on the street and in amateur track use, which is a more grounded pair of claims than a racing mixture carries and a better match for a bike that is ridden to the circuit and home again. The backing and the outline are those of every AGPA101 pad. What arrives is a pair, and a pair is what one caliper takes.
The Road You Know by Heart
Familiarity is what makes a favourite road fast, and it is also what makes it dangerous. You brake later because you know the corner, and one evening there is gravel washed across it or a tractor just out of sight. The riders who last treat every lap of their own road as if something might have changed, and leave a margin at the brakes rather than spending all of it. That margin depends on the front brake responding the same way on the tenth run as on the first, since a fading pad quietly eats the reserve you were counting on. Look at your pads regularly if you ride like this. Uneven wear between the two sides usually points to a sticking piston, and a lever that has grown longer over a few weeks is asking for fresh fluid.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the AGPA101 for the front wheel of the Dorsoduro 900 from 2018 to 2020. Each front caliper takes one box, so the full axle needs two, and both sides should be renewed in a single session. Should the street-and-track character be more or less than you want, the OR, ST and EV2 versions fill the same outline. The bike's rear wheel is served by the AGPP91 pad and its front discs by the DKS032.
Road Approval
We cannot document an approval for the AGPA101EV1, and there is no German ABE for it. That leaves competition and closed circuits as the use we sell it for.
Scope of Delivery
