DescriptionThe whole story▼
Anyone who has ridden a 125 two-stroke in the woods knows the feeling of the engine dropping off its power just as the trail tips upwards. On a TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke, the answer lies in the left hand: a quick slip of the clutch brings the revs back to where the engine pulls. Accossato's C7283 is a folding clutch lever for the EN 125 two-stroke from 2010 to 2019. It comes from Italy, is cut from Ergal 7075 and gives four fingers room on a blade that can hinge forward when the bike is dropped.
Key Features
- Folding clutch lever for the TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke, 2010 to 2019
- Fits the original clutch mount on the left side of the bar
- Longer blade with room for four fingers
- Anti-break hinge allows the blade to fold forward
- Machined from solid Ergal 7075 aluminium alloy in Italy
- Dark base, blade in black, blue, orange or red
- No German ABE documented; for off-road use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the C7283 on CNC machines in Italy from a solid piece of Ergal 7075. The alloy is one of aluminium's high-strength grades, and the company uses it because its levers are meant to be tough, dependable and light. There are two parts: a dark base mounted on the clutch pivot and a blade in black, blue, orange or red, attached to it by a hinge. The clutch blade is the longer shape in Accossato's off-road range and is designed for four fingers, a sensible layout for a bike whose clutch is pulled as often as a 125's.
Keeping the Revs Up
A small two-stroke makes its power in a narrow band of revs. Below it, the EN 125 two-stroke feels flat; inside it, the bike comes alive. Riders therefore use the clutch constantly: a quick slip to lift the revs before a climb, a fanned lever out of a slow turn, a pull to stop the engine bogging when the rear tyre hits a soft patch. It becomes a reflex, and the lever is pulled hundreds of times on a single loop. A long blade that the whole hand can operate spreads that work across four fingers.
All that clutch work happens close to the limit of grip, and sometimes the rear steps out or the front drops into a hole and the bike lands on its left side. On a trail, the ground where a lever lands is rarely soft. The C7283 has a hinge that allows its blade to pivot forward rather than break off at the tip, which improves the chances that the TM can be picked up and ridden on with a working clutch. That matters more on a 125 than on most bikes: without a clutch lever, a narrow powerband is very hard to use on the way back.
Fitment and Compatibility
The C7283 is listed for the TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke of 2010 to 2019 only and goes on the original clutch mount; earlier EN 125 two-strokes are not covered. On the right-hand side, the B8206 folding brake lever fits a longer run of the same bike, 2001 to 2019. Blue, black and red are available on both sides, while orange is reserved for the clutch lever and gold for the brake lever.
Road Approval
The C7283 has no documented German ABE. If your EN 125 two-stroke is registered for the road, keep in mind that it is not approved for public roads with this lever; the lever is for off-road and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
