DescriptionThe whole story▼
The International Six Days Enduro, which gave the KTM 300 EXC Six Days its name, traditionally closes with a final motocross. After days of trails and timed tests, the riders line up and race a short motocross, and the clutch hand matters as much as it does at any gate drop. On the 300 EXC Six Days of 2006 to 2022, that hand can rest on Accossato's C7283: a long clutch blade for four fingers, milled from Ergal 7075 and hinged to fold rather than break.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato started out in 1969 at Moncalieri, just outside Turin, as a maker of competition motorcycles. The C7283 is machined in Italy from solid Ergal 7075, a high-strength aluminium alloy picked for strength, lightness and reliability. It consists of a dark-finished base, which remains on the pivot, and a blade that hangs from it on a hinge, available in black, blue, orange or red. The blade is long, the way Accossato draws its off-road clutch levers, and takes four fingers.
The Final Motocross
By the last day of a six-day event, riders and machines have covered a very long distance, and the final motocross asks for one more hard effort. The start is where many places are decided. With the 300 EXC Six Days on the line, the rider picks a gear, holds the revs where the two-stroke drives without spinning and waits for the signal with the clutch pulled in. What happens in the next second depends on the left hand: a smooth, quick release gets the bike moving with the front wheel down, while a snatched one spins the rear tyre or lifts the front.
The first corner of any motocross is crowded, and a tired field makes more mistakes. Bikes touch, someone goes down and the riders behind have nowhere to go. A fall on the left side there puts the clutch lever on hard ground, sometimes under another bike. The C7283 can hinge forward at its joint, which gives it a chance of surviving what a conventional lever might not. That is no guarantee, but after six days of work it may decide whether you finish the motocross or push the KTM 300 EXC Six Days off the track.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application list includes the KTM 300 EXC Six Days in two version groups, 2006–2013 and 2014–2022, and the C7283 fits the original clutch mount on both. For the 2014 to 2022 bikes, the B8283 folding brake lever can complete the set; earlier Six Days bikes are covered on the clutch side only. If both levers should match, pick black, blue or orange, since red is not made for the brake lever.
Road Approval
No German ABE is documented for the C7283. The 300 EXC Six Days is usually registered as a road-going enduro, yet with this lever fitted it is not approved for public roads; the lever is for off-road and competition use.
