Tracks built into a hillside usually have one corner that everyone talks about in the paddock: the tight turn at the foot of a steep climb. On a Husqvarna FC 350 it calls for the clutch more than the throttle, because the bike has to turn almost on the spot and then drive straight up the slope. Accossato's C7283 is listed for the FC 350 of 2014 and 2015 and for the 2022 model. This folding clutch lever is milled from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy, has a four-finger blade and can fold on its joint when the bike goes over.

Construction and Material Quality
Of Accossato's three off-road levers for the FC 350, the C7283 offers the widest choice of colour: its blade comes in black, blue, orange or red, always on a dark base, and if your bike's graphics carry blue, a blue blade can pick it up. Base and blade are separate pieces, joined at the fold, and both are CNC-machined in Italy from solid Ergal 7075. Accossato picked that high-strength aluminium alloy to get a lever that is strong, light and reliable. Like the other clutch levers in the range, the C7283 has a long blade with space for four fingers.
The Uphill Hairpin
The approach is downhill or flat, so the rider brakes hard, drops to a low gear and swings the FC 350 round the inside. Halfway through the turn the bike is barely moving, the front wheel already points up the slope and the engine is labouring. Now the clutch decides everything. Slip it too little and the engine stalls; release it too quickly and the front lifts or the rear tyre digs a hole. Riders who get it right feather the lever with all four fingers, let the rear find grip and are accelerating by the time the bike straightens.
Those who get it wrong usually stop dead, put a foot down on the uphill side and find the ground is not where they expected. The bike tips over, often to the left, and the clutch lever lands first on hard, sloping earth. A fixed blade in that situation takes the bike's weight at its very end. The joint on the C7283 gives the blade a chance to fold away from the blow, and with a little luck it will still work when the engine is restarted for another attempt at the climb. No lever can promise that every time, but on a hillside track the chance is worth having.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato divides the Husqvarna FC 350 into version groups, and the C7283 is listed for two of them, 2014 to 2015 and 2022, fitted at the original clutch mount. Bikes from 2016 to 2021 take a different clutch lever, the C7284. On the brake side a single lever covers every year: the B8283, listed from 2014 to 2022. For matching colours on both sides, pick black, blue or orange; red exists only for this clutch lever.

The C7283 has no documented German ABE and is supplied for motocross and off-road competition only.
