DescriptionThe whole story▼
Enduro schools and hire fleets see more falls in a week than most private bikes see in a season. Beginners stall, topple over at walking pace and drop bikes on slopes, and the same machines go out again next morning with the next group. A low, easy-going two-stroke such as the Beta Xtrainer 250 suits that kind of work. Accossato's B8206 swaps in for the stock front brake lever of the Xtrainer 250 from 2018 to 2022: machined in Italy from solid Ergal 7075, built for three fingers, with a blade that can fold forward when the bike goes down.
Key Features
- Folding front brake lever for the Beta Xtrainer 250, 2018 to 2022
- Replaces the standard lever on the original front brake master cylinder
- Joint lets the blade fold forward when the bike tips over
- Short, three-finger blade
- Machined from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Blade in black, blue, gold or red on a dark base
- No German ABE documented; for off-road use
Construction and Material Quality
Ergal 7075 is where each B8206 begins: a solid block of this high-strength aluminium alloy, which CNC machines in Italy turn into a lever meant, as Accossato puts it, to be strong, light and reliable. Two parts come out of that process. The base, finished dark, fits at the master cylinder; the blade, in whichever colour was ordered, is linked to it through a folding joint. On the brake side the blade is kept short and gives room for three fingers.
Where Every Bike Falls Over Sometimes
In a school a broken lever is not a disaster, but it is a nuisance: one bike out of action, a group waiting, a mechanic reaching for spares. Over a season, levers are among the parts replaced most often, simply because so many low-speed tip-overs land on one of them. Instructors know the pattern well. A student stops on a slope, puts the wrong foot down, and the Xtrainer 250 topples slowly onto its right; or someone grabs a handful of front brake in a turn and the front slides away.
For a fleet, a folding brake lever like the B8206 is a practical choice rather than an indulgence. The joint gives the blade a chance to fold forward instead of snapping, so after many small falls the same lever can still be in service. It will not survive everything, and spares stay on the workshop shelf, but a lever that can fold may mean fewer replacements over a season. Private owners of the Beta Xtrainer 250 who are still learning can apply the same reasoning: early rides come with falls, and a lever should not be what ends the day.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato matches the B8206 to the Beta Xtrainer 250 from 2018 to 2022 and lists the C7283 as the folding clutch lever for the same bike and years. For a fleet that marks bikes or groups by colour, the brake lever comes in black, blue, gold and red; all of those except gold are made for the clutch lever too, which adds an orange of its own.
Road Approval
The B8206 has no German ABE. The Xtrainer 250 may carry a registration, but with this lever fitted it is not approved for public roads; it is for off-road use and competition.
Scope of Delivery
