DescriptionThe whole story▼
The GSX-R750 has been part of Suzuki's range since 1985, and in its later years it became a rare size of sports bike, sitting between the 600s and the litre machines. Many owners ride theirs every day, not only at weekends. The Accossato LV020 is a folding brake lever for the GSX-R750 of 2004 to 2017, made for the original radial master cylinder, with a reach adjuster in its black base and a blade that can fold at the joint.
Key Features
- Folding brake lever for the Suzuki GSX-R750, 2004 to 2017
- For the original radial brake master cylinder
- Blade can fold when it is knocked
- Adjustable distance to the grip
- RST or NRST blade, standard length
- Eight colours, including titanium
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
Construction and Material Quality
Two anodised aluminium parts make up the lever, both shaped by CNC machining. Black is reserved for the base, the part that meets the pivot of the radial master cylinder and houses the reach adjuster. The blade can take any of eight colours, from black and silver to titanium, which is an anodised tone and not a separate metal. A joint links blade and base, and it is the reason the blade can fold. As for the blade itself, you choose between RST, with a lightening opening, and NRST, without one.
The Office Bike Bay
A GSX-R750 ridden to work spends most of its day parked, and bike bays at offices and stations are crowded places. Motorcycles stand side by side with barely a hand's width between their bars, riders squeeze in and out with panniers and top boxes, and scooters reverse out without looking. Levers stick out further than almost anything else, so they are what gets hit: a luggage case catches the brake lever as someone manoeuvres past, or a neighbouring bike is dropped against yours. A fixed lever takes a knock like that with no room to give. The folding blade may move aside instead, which reduces the chance of finding it bent when you come back in the evening. Parking habits help as well. Where you can, leave the GSX-R750 with its right side away from the aisle, and in gear so that it cannot roll. Before riding off at the end of the day, glance at the lever: blade in its working position, reach unchanged, nothing out of place.
Fitment and Compatibility
The LV020 is listed for the GSX-R750 from 2004 to 2017 and fits the original radial master cylinder. Accossato also lists the LV022 for the same years, described as a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster, so compare your existing lever with the photos of both before ordering for your GSX-R750.
Road Approval
The LV020 carries no documented German ABE; we list it for circuit use.
