DescriptionThe whole story▼
The RA001 is the most specialised of the three Accossato folding levers listed for the Moto Morini Granpasso 1200. Like the LV012, it replaces the brake lever on the original master cylinder, folds at a joint between base and blade and can be set closer to or further from the grip. What sets it apart is a 90-degree remote adjuster, which Accossato developed so that the lever position can be changed with the left hand while the right one stays on the throttle. It is listed for the Granpasso 1200 from 2008 to 2018.
Key Features
- Folding brake lever with 90-degree remote adjuster for the Granpasso 1200, 2008 to 2018
- Lever position adjustable with the left hand, throttle hand stays in place
- Holder in two sizes: 35 mm or 60 mm
- Replaces the lever on the original brake master cylinder
- Hinged blade on a black base
- Blade with RST lightening cut-out or without (NRST)
- Black, blue, gold, green, orange, red or silver; standard length
Construction and Material Quality
Two machined parts form the lever itself: a black anodised base that sits on the master cylinder pivot, and a coloured blade that hinges from it. Both are cut from aluminium on CNC machines. The remote adjuster is the additional element. It moves the adjustment away from the lever to a point your left hand can reach, and it is offered with a holder in one of two sizes, 35 mm or 60 mm, which you select when ordering. If you are unsure which size suits the bar of your Granpasso, ask us before you order rather than guessing.
A Racing Idea on a Travelling Bike
Accossato describes the remote adjuster in racing terms: it lets a rider change the lever setting during a race without pulling into the pits. On a circuit that matters because conditions change within a session. The Granpasso 1200 is rarely raced, yet riders who take it to a track day meet the same situation. In the first session of a cool morning, in thick gloves, you may want the blade a little further out. By mid-afternoon, in lighter gloves and with tired fingers after several sessions, a position closer to the grip might feel better. With a conventional adjuster, each change means coming in and reaching across to the right side. With the RA001, the left hand can make it on a straight while the right hand stays on the throttle. How often you use it is your decision. Make each change with the bike upright and stable, and remember that your fingers will meet the braking point in a different place afterwards.
Fitment and Compatibility
The RA001 is listed for the Granpasso 1200 from 2008 to 2018 and takes the place of the brake lever on the original master cylinder. If you prefer a simpler setup, the LV012 is a folding brake lever for the same bike without the remote adjuster, and the LV014 is the matching folding lever for the hydraulic clutch. All three share the same listing years for the Granpasso.
Road Approval
We know of no German ABE for the RA001, and we list it as a racing part for use on the track.
